About Robin
Robin is a retired speech and language pathologist, Reiki master, ordained minister, Justice of the Peace, lifelong learner, and cancer survivor, who began studying and practicing tai chi in 1993 to help her chronic knee pain. She began teaching community tai chi over 20 years ago and first became certified to teach Tai Chi for Arthritis in 1999. Robin has taught the Inner Chi form, which is an adaptation of the Cheng Man Ching’s version of the Yang Style form, Tai Chi for Arthritis, and the Sun 73 form. She has also been certified to teach Tai Chi for Diabetes, Tai Chi for Osteoporosis, Tai Chi at Work, Tai Chi for Heart Conditions, and Qigong for Health. Robin is currently certified by the Tai Chi for Health Institute to teach Tai Chi for Arthritis and Falls Prevention, Tai Chi for Arthritis 2 (a more advanced version of Tai Chi for Arthritis), Tai Chi for Heart Conditions, Seated Tai Chi for Arthritis, and in Qigong for Health. Robin believes in the healing power of movement and energy cultivation.
Robin has maintained her practice of tai chi to help her with her own health conditions, including arthritis, Lyme Disease and other tick-borne illnesses, breast cancer, and for prevention of heart disease. She is dedicated to helping others with chronic health conditions, those who want to improve their balance, those who are seeking to maintain their health, and those who want to reduce/manage the stress in their lives, through the practices of tai chi, qigong, Reiki, and other healing modalities.
